Monsoon Season officially begins in mid-June and runs through the end of September. However, the main storms tend to occur in mid-late August. We’ll often see trees blown down, debris in the roads and traffic signals broken. If you see or experience any of these issues, here are some resources for you.
Our best advice during Monsoon Season is to stay off the roads and secure all your outdoor furniture. You don’t want your umbrellas or furniture to become projectiles in the wind.
Also, be sure to maintain your roof during this season by cleaning off any debris. The wind will bring debris and that debris will rot and eat away at your roof coating or underlayment and that is what ultimately causes the most roof damage. Rain and wind will often also displace roof tiles, so make sure after a big storm that everything is in the right place on your roof.
Be safe out there!
