If you’re listing your home for sale, it’s important to remember the power of social media and word of mouth. You want to take advantage of the opportunity to market your home, but you also want to be careful about what you share with friends and neighbors.
Here are some timeless tips from a segment Holly did with NBC.
Social media is a critical component in your Realtor’s marketing plan, so it’s a good idea to discuss what you may want to also personally post on your social media sites. Have a conversation with your Realtor to discuss how to best showcase your home on-line. In addition, be sure to keep any critical information such as your need to move, financial issues, bottom line sale price or any frustrations private. You don’t want the game of telephone to spread any important information to potential buyers. You best friend could share a tidbit with another friend and so on….so keep it private. The last thing you want is for people to find out what bottom line price you would accept or that you are worried about selling or frustrated. Emotions and little bits of information can spread quickly and can then impact your sale.
