The Greatest Show on Grass comes to Scottsdale every year at the end of January or early February. As a Realtor I love the energy and vacation home buyers that the event draws to our city. As a resident, I just love the atmosphere and the views. The weather is typically gorgeous, the course is beautiful and being outside and soaking up the scene is just a great way to kick-off spring. The Annual pilgrimage to the TPC should be on every Phoenician’s Bucket List!
Here are some tips on where to watch…the golf and the people watching are fabulous!
Tents – If you can get into a tent, this is ideal. You’ll enjoy the food and beverages and the party atmosphere is fun, as well as the views. The Tent on 16 will be the most “happening” party scene and the loudest. The views from the new Bay Club tent are gorgeous and the 18th Skybox is of course exciting…you can watch the players finish their round.
General Admission – If you want to follow a particular golfer, this might be your best bet. You can walk the course and see all your favorite players. Caution – it is a lot of walking, so wear comfy shoes and don’t wait until you’re hungry or thirsty to eat and drink, because the lines can be long.
Transportation – I highly recommend taking a car service, such as Uber. Parking is a bit of an ordeal, as it is off-site and then you bus to the course. Or, you can valet. Whatever you do regarding parking, you’ll be sure to be waiting in lines and walking. Uber is also great, because if you’re like most spectators, you’ll be day drinking and you won’t be able to drive home, so be safe and take a car service.

After the tournament play ends, you’ll want to wander over to the Birds Nest to enjoy fabulous concerts. Check out our Birds Nest Page for more information on that event too!
