If you’re looking for something unique, in terms of dining, there is nothing quite like dining under the stars in the open desert.
Cloth & Flame started their business in 2016 and Phoenix Magazine has already ranked them Best Culinary Adventure! You’ll want to follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see what they’re up to next. To book a reservation or review their calendar of upcoming events – visit their website – Cloth & Flame Website.
They typically sell-out of seats in advance, so you’ll want to check their calendar, pick a date and make your reservation before they sell out. When it’s time for your dining night, you’ll meet them at a designated location and they’ll great you with a beverage…we started with some yummy lemonade. Then the vans are loaded up and the adventure into the desert begins. We drove about 30 minutes to a secluded ridge past Lake Pleasant. Upon arrival to the dining site there was a cute champagne cart and appetizer…ours was prickly pear.
Before dinner begins, you can hang out, enjoy the sunset and take lots of pictures. Once dinner starts being served at the shared table, you can get acquainted with the other guests, meet new friends and let your taste buds enjoy all the chef prepared treats! The meal is served family style, which makes it more fun and you might be able to get seconds of a few items too. Our meal was four courses and each course was superb and creative.
It’s hard to decide which is better, the food or the ambiance or the views. The sunset was beautiful and the stars were like nothing I’ve ever seen…..magnificent! This is a fun event for a date night, girls night, couples or you could go solo and meet new people. It would also be great for a private party and you can arrange those with them too.
This is a culinary experience and adventure that I will never forget and I can’t wait to do it again!
